Cybersecurity has become essential for both professional and personal success as digital assets grow in value and complexity. CCVs recognizes the importance of building awareness and cyber skills in curriculum and academic programs.

Cybersecurity – Academic Programs & Curriculum

CCVs Information Technology A.S. allows students to focus on cybersecurity, and the Cybersecurity and Networking certificate can be stacked in the degree program. The cybersecurity focus area and program is designed for those who would like to develop practical cyber and networking skills, prepare for industry recognized credentials, and/or build a foundation for more advanced education and training in the field. The program prepares students with the competencies needed to protect systems, secure data, and support modern IT environments and provides targeted preparation for the CompTIA Security+ and Network+ certification exams.

Cyber Skills for All Students

To support all students in building cyber skills, Foundations of Information Security (CIS-1035) was developed. It is a one-credit course that examines the issues of online threats and explores personal and professional strategies to reduce vulnerabilities.
