Career Development & Career Connected Learning

Welcome to CCV’s Career Connected Learning (CCL) resource hub. These resources are designed to help faculty intentionally connect classroom learning with career readiness by making transferable skills visible, encouraging student reflection, and integrating career-connected language into everyday teaching. Small, intentional practices can help students better understand the value of their education, articulate the skills they are developing, and prepare for success in their careers and beyond.

Click on the topics below to learn more about our faculty resources and how you can enhance and integrate Career Connected Learning at CCV.

Collaborate with CCV Career Development

Fill out our request form to get started. We can support your students on a variety of assignments or give live presentations by Zoom. We can also assist in finding guest speakers.

CCV’s Career Field Guides are designed to help students connect their academic program to meaningful career opportunities. Each guide highlights career pathways within a field, examples of occupations at different education levels, estimated Vermont salary ranges, common work settings, and opportunities for career advancement.

Faculty can use these guides to help students see the connection between classroom learning and future careers, explore career options related to their program, and understand how stackable credentials and continued education can support long-term career growth. Whether used during advising conversations, embedded into coursework, or shared as a career exploration resource, the guides encourage students to think intentionally about their academic and professional journey.
